Methuen - Mary Bernadette Arsenault, 92, of Methuen, passed away Friday, July 5, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Lawrence, December 18, 1926, she was the wife of the late Joseph (Leo) Arsenault
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Jennifer.
She is survived by her son David Arsenault; son Dean and his wife Robin Arsenault from Methuen, Mass.; her daughter Donna Arsenault from Richmond, Va.; daughter Debra and her husband Stephen Pedersen from Lake in the Hills, Ill. She was the sister of Grace Perocchi of Methuen. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mary graduated from St. Mary High School in Lawrence. She went on to St. Johns Hospital in Lowell for her nursing training where she became an RN. Later she attended St. Anselm College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She worked at Clover Hill Hospital in Lawrence until its closure and then worked at Bon Secours Hospital/Holy Family until her retirement.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved camping, gardening, knitting, hosting parties and spending time with her family.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. at St. Monica's Parish of Methuen, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Methuen. Memorial Contributions in Mary's Memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. So sorry for your loss. I Remember your mom with fond memories. She was in the delivery room when I was born and just missed the birth of my son by minutes. She was a wonderful woman. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
