Mary C. (McCarthy) Otis

Mary C. (McCarthy) Otis Windham, NH - Mary C. (McCarthy) Otis, 61, of Windham, N.H., passed away peacefully Friday morning, with her family by her side at Parkland Medical, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Mary was born in Haverhill, Mass., daughter of the late James and Frances (Colohan) McCarthy. She grew up and was educated in Haverhill, Mass. She later graduated from Lowell Tech with her bachelor’s degree. She was a resident of Windham for over 30 years.
Mary was a business analyst for Comcast in Manchester, N.H. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Parish in Windham, N.H., where she taught CCD for many years. She was a former Troop Leader and a Service Unit Manager for the Boys and Girls Scouts in Windham. She enjoyed scrap-booking with stamps, gardening, reading, and was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Patriots. Mary also loved her pets.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her nephew and godchild Matthew McCarthy.
She is survived by her husband Mark Otis of Windham, N.H.; son, James Bucuzzo of Brighton, Mass; and her daughter Ali Otis of Windham, N.H.; sister, Hannah and her husband Joseph Brigandi of Haverhill, Mass.; brother, James McCarthy Jr., and his wife Jola of Haverhill, Mass.; nephews and niece, Ryan and Nathan McCarthy, Michael and Nicole Brigandi.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Parish, Windham, N.H. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill, Mass. Calling hours will be Monday, Feb. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH.

I worked with Mary at Comcast. She was always so kind and always smiling. She will be missed by a lot of people.

Also worked with Mary at Comcast. We chatted a lot about Ali's gymnastics as my youngest was competing, too. Mary was always so proud of Ali. My heart goes out to you all.

My condolences to Mary's family. We worked together at Comcast for many years. She was fun to work with and always so happy! She was so proud of her family and their accomplishments! May she rest in peace, pain free. We will see her again!

Mary and I started Comcast together back in April of 2010. She was so much fun to be around and was such a kind soul with so much love to give. Her love for her children was unmatched. She will truly be missed. RIP Mary.

So sorry for you lose. Mary and i were friends in high school and she was truly a nice person. Was happy we reconnected on facebook and could see she was happy and proud of her family .
