Mary (Carnevale)'s Story
Mary R. (Carnevale) Persichetti, 94, of Methuen, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the Mary Immaculate Restorative Center in Lawrence. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Vito and Carmela (Traverso) Carnevale.
Mary was educated in Methuen. She worked as a packer at the former Hy-Sil Company in Lawrence.
Mary enjoyed reading, the beach, cooking, animals and spending time with her family. She was a very special person who was quiet, kind, loving, gentle, giving, compassionate, and always ready to help when help was needed. She had a smile that would light up the room and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Loreto “Harry” Persichetti; her sons, Robert and Harry Persichetti; and many sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Joyce and Jean Persichetti; her sister, Rita Rayball of Maryland; her daughter-in-law, Jane (Coviello) Persichetti; her grandchildren, Jill Weeks and Amy Cianciarusso; great-grandchildren, Alex and Abby Cianciarusso and Eliza and Tucker Weeks. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Mary Immaculate for their dedication, love, compassion and support; especially Susan who was Mary’s hospice aide.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
