North Andover - Mary M. (McCallion) Foster, a longtime resident of North Andover, passed away on July 11, 2019.
Born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Mary moved to North Andover at a young age. She attended North Andover schools, graduating from Johnson High in 1939.
Mary worked as a bookkeeper at McLays Florist in North Andover for many years, and then at Rolling Green Mobil in Andover, from where she retired.
Mary's greatest joy was her family. She attended countless sports events, recitals, graduations and birthday parties.
The daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Reinecker) McCallion, members of her family include her children Martha (Foster) Heinze, C. Alan and his wife Marie (Menzie) Foster, Brendan and his wife Christine (Fraser) Foster, Stephen and his wife Betsy (Doyle) Foster, and Patricia Foster; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson Ryan Foster; her sister Frances (McCallion) Keefe; and her brother Edward McCallion.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover. A brief service at the funeral home will follow the calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

I will miss Mary deeply and listening to the stories of our family she knew them well. Mary was a special Godmother . My Mom was a true friend and cousin , and loved by all.

To the entire Foster family I sorry for your lose, we were neighbors for many years and always friends she had a great life she will be sadly missed Rest In Peace Mary my friend.
