HAVERHILL - Mary R. Salamanca of Haverhill, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 at Penacook Place on February 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence, Mary was the daughter of the late Mario and Josephine (Lovecchio) Salamanca. She attended Lawrence High school and was employed by Ayer Mills and later AT&T.
She loved spending time at the beach and the lake with her family and flying kites with her longtime love Robert. She enjoyed playing cards and 45s was one of her passions. She also loved shopping and she exemplified that by the way she dressed.
Mary leaves behind her sisters, Jennie A. Conte, Rosemarie S. Chaff and her husband, Al; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, John, and infant brother, Antonio; and the love of her life, Robert C. Reichert.
The family would like to thank the staff at Penacook Place for all the wonderful care they provided to her over the past 12 years. And many thanks to Merrimack Valley Hospice for the care and compassion they provided her and her family in her final days.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
