SANDOWN, NH - Nereira (Vega) Guzman, 84, of Sandown, N.H., and formerly of Florida, and Lawrence, died on February 15, 2018, at Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston.
Born in Havana, Cuba, she was the daughter of Benito and Narcissa (Garcia) Vega. She worked as an assembler for Western Electric Company and AT&T Electronics, North Andover, Mass., and was a member of the C.W.A., AFL-CIO. She moved to Sandown from Lawrence in 2005
Mrs. Guzman was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother - her family being the most important part of her life. She enjoyed cooking and her home was always open to family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Guzman; two sons, Daniel Guzman Jr., and Roberto Guzman and wife Tina, both of Sandown, N.H.; three daughters, Margie Healy, and her husband, Michael, of Sandown, N.H., Betty Dick, of Plaistow, and Cary Hughes and husband Daniel Hickey, of Sandown, N.H.; a sister, Magaly Lara, of Boston, Mass.; fourteen grandchildren; eight-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, February 23, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 12:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, N.H.
