Nick Coufas, 69, of North Andover, passed away peacefully October 21, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Thana, Greece, the son of the late George and Katherine (Kyriakopoulos) Coufas.
Nick was a graduate of I.T.T. Tech where he became a Master Mechanic. For several years, he owned and managed Jimmy’s Famous Pizza in North Andover and later was the proprietor of N.C. Liquors in Groveland.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Tina M. Vitale.
Nick is survived by his devoted wife, Jean Coufas; son, Nicholas G. Coufas and wife, Melissa of Windham, N.H.; three grandchildren, Jason, Zachary, and Ava; sisters, Niki, Dina, and Maria; son-in-law, John Vitale of Andover and several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 71 Chandler Road, Andover. Burial will follow in West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Andover.
