METHUEN - Orazio J. Fazio, Sr., 92, of Methuen, passed away on December 18, 2017 at St. Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence. He was the devoted husband of the late Carmella A. (Perillo) Fazio for sixty-seven years.
Orazio was born March 3, 1925 in Lawrence, son of the late Vincenzo and Marietta (Guerieri) Fazio. He honorably served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from the Airforce as a master sergeant. He ultimately served in three wars, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam and was proud to serve his country. He was a life time member of the Knights of Columbus in Methuen, Methuen Senior Center in Methuen, and the Disabled Veterans in Lawrence.
He was predeceased by his son, Thomas J. Fazio; siblings, Gertrude, Rosalie, Jennie, George, and Angelo Fazio.
Mr. Fazio is survived by his son, Horace J. Fazio and his wife Juanita Fazio of Methuen; sister, Theresa Peluso of Haverhill; grandchildren, Angela T. Fazio, Sarah Brown, and Andrew Brown; his adored two great-granddaughters. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at St. Mary - Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence.
