SALEM, NH- Raymond J. Gagnon Sr, 98 of Salem, NH, died March 9, 2018 at the Veterans Home, Tilton, NH.
Ray was born in Lawrence, where he grew up and was educated. He was a resident of Salem, NH for over 60 years.
Ray was a machinist for MFE in Salem, NH. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 8546 in Salem, N.H. As an avid golfer, Ray played in several leagues. He enjoyed traveling, boating, and the outdoors.
He was predeceased by his wife, Aldona (Povilatis) Gagnon.
He is survived by his children, Joyce and her husband Fred Montisanti of Sandown, NH, Donna and her husband, Hank Wunderlich of Danville, N.H., Raymond Jr. and wife Barbara Gagnon of Chester, NH, John and his wife, Marcia Gagnon of Haverhill, MA, William Gagnon and Pam Cooper of Raymond, N.H., and Robert and his wife Denise Gagnon of Londonderry, N.H, Many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Ray will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.
