Raymond M.'s Story
Raymond Martial Chasse, 83, of Fremont, N.H., died on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, N.H. Raymond was born in Lawrence, Mass., to the late Martial and Annette (Morin) Chasse. He resided in Fremont, N.H., for the past 12 years, formerly living in Lawrence. He attended Central Catholic High School and the McIntosh School of Business. He served in the US Army.
He was a communicant at the former Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence where he served as a lector, cantor and altar server. Raymond retired after 42 years of employment at Cardinal Health in Peabody, which was formerly James W. Daly, Inc., in Lawrence.
He is survived by his wife, Claire (Beauchesne) Chasse of Fremont, N.H.; two sons, Mark Chasse and his wife, Denise (Desruisseaux) of Fremont, N.H., Craig Chasse and longtime companion, Rebecca Purpura of Deering, N.H.; granddaughter, Kailyn Aspanthiya-Gedara and husband, Dharshan of Silver Spring, Md.; two great-grandchildren, Napalia and Amory Aspanthiya-Gedara of Silver Spring, Md.; sisters, Rita Smith of Franklin, Mass., Jolyne Collins and her husband, James of Menlo Park, Calif., Colette LaPlume of Mirror Lake, N.H., and Largo, Fla., Yvette Proposki and her husband, William of Rockport, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 200 Pleasant St., Epping, NH. Friends and family may visit with the family on Friday, November 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover, Mass.
