Raymond P.'s Story
Raymond P. Kelly, 79, of North Andover, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at High Pointe House in Haverhill.
Raymond was born in Archbald, Pa., on December 2, 1937, to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Kenny) Kelly.
Following high school, Raymond went on to graduate in 1959 from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Here he was a member of Phi Delta Theta, the Sphinx Honor Society, and was football captain.
He then served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant for two years.
He was employed at Corning Glass for 25 years. Thereafter, Raymond was employed as a regional sales manager at AVX Corporation until his retirement.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 57 years, Adele (Lemoncelli) Kelly of North Andover; and his four children, Dr. Raymond Kelly and his wife, Diana of York, Maine, Patricia Parrott and her husband, Sherman of Wilmington, Jean Sheedy and her husband, Paul of Andover, and Michael Kelly and his wife, Heather of Denver, Colo. Also among his survivors are his brothers, Jack Kelly, Harold Kelly and his wife, Kim; and his sister, Teresa Kelly, all of Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his brother, Gerald Kelly. Raymond will be sadly missed by his eight grandchildren, Ryan and Sean Kelly, Steven and Caitlin Parrott, Brendan and Meghan Sheedy, and Cameron and Bridget Kelly, as well as his brother-in-law, Scotty Lemoncelli and his wife, Barbara of Pennsylvania.
Ray loved all sports, especially football and golf. He was a longtime member of Indian Ridge Country Club.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to our extended family, Jack and Alice Sheedy of North Andover as well as all of our dear friends who helped us for many months through his illness.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Michaels Church, North Andover. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover.
