SALEM, NH - Robert L. Christianson, born in Revere, Mass., on February 13, 1930, was the son of Loftus Linwood Christianson and Mildred (Walsh) Christianson. Bob passed away Friday, December 16, peacefully at Blaire House, Tewksbury, after a short illness. He served in the U.S. Marines with a tour in Japan during the Korean War. Bob worked in construction, Local 4 as a crane operator and owned and operated three restaurant businesses in the area. He was also the H.S. Maintenance Supervisor for the Salem School Department until he retired. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Salem, as well as the Derry-Salem Elks Lodge where he was a former Exalted Ruler #8. He was the father of Robbie Christianson (deceased), Kerry Christianson of Derry, N.H., Jamie Christianson of Phoenix, Ariz., Deane Christianson of Derry, N.H. He was the brother of Lawrence Christianson of Billerica, Mass. (deceased), Mildred (Christianson) Tobey of Melrose; and is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins; and close friend, Rosemary Hermans.
Burial Mass from St. Josephs on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 12 p.m. with visiting hours from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem, NH 03079.
