Robert William's Story
Robert William Gill, 69, a longtime resident of Salem, N.H., passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017, in the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Mass., following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lawrence, Mass., a son of the late William A. and Anne (Simard) Gill.
Bob graduated from Lawrence High School, UMass Lowell and earned his MBA at Suffolk University in Boston. He worked for the Boston Stock Exchange and later for St. Mary’s Bank in Manchester, N.H. In his younger days he enjoyed sailing and in recent years, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. Bob’s family roots run deep in Salem and he enjoyed the New Hampshire and local politics.
He is survived by two sons, Randy and his wife, Donna of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ryan and his wife, Mhairi of Vancouver, Canada; a daughter, Margaux of Manchester, N.H.; and a sister, Carole of Salem.
Following cremation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a time and date to be determined. Please continue to follow www.douglasandjohnson.com for updated information.
