Rocco J. Scionti, age 83, of Windham, N.H., died Tuesday, December 5, at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, N.H.
Rocco was born in Lawrence, Mass., where he grew up, was educated and lived for 70 years. He was a resident of Windham for the past 13 years.
Rocco was an office worker for Western Electric for over 34 years. He was a member of St. Matthew's Parish, where he sang in the choir. He was a US Marine Corp veteran. He was a former member of the Bavarian and Berkley Clubs in Lawrence, and the Turn Verein Hall in Lawrence, where he attended as a child, and later taught gymnastics. He was a member of the Methuen Rod & Gun Club and the Choral Arts Society. He enjoyed the outdoors Skiing, mountain climbing, and was an incredible cook, and loved German and Italian Food.
Rocco is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian (Adzarito) of Windham, N.H.; sons, Dean J. and his wife, Kathy Scionti of Salem, N.H., and Gary and his wife, Carol Scionti of Londonderry, N.H.; half sister, Linda Carmody of Concord, N.H.; and grandchildren, Angela, Gino, and Cody Scionti.
Arrangements: A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH. Burial will be private for the family in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Friday, Dec. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
