Salem NH - Ronald Louis Caredeo, 66, passed away peacefully in his home on September 9, 2019 surrounded by his family following a courageous six-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Ronald was born on January 31st, 1953, son of the late Joseph J. Caredeo and Margaret Taibbi Caredeo. Ronald grew up in South Lawrence and later moved to North Andover where he lived for over 31 years. He and his wife recently moved to Salem. NH. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Northern Essex Community College and Lowell University. Ronald worked for Crown Cork & Seal as an accountant for over 40 years. He retired in 2013. Ron was a devoted member of Saint Patrick's Parish in South Lawrence, volunteering his time on both their financial committee as well as the Cor Unum Meal Center.
Ronald loved the game of golf and grew to become a very good golfer through the years. More than anything he loved his family and always made them his top priority. There has never been a more devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His passing will forever leave an empty spot in the hearts of those who loved him and who he loved.
Ronald will be deeply missed by his loving wife of over 44 years, Rosemary Canto Caredeo; their two children, Christopher Caredeo and wife, Emily of Rockville, Md, daughter Nicole Bova and husband, Brian Bova of Windham, NH; grandchildren, Ava and Cecilia Caredeo and Nathan and Andrew Bova; his sisters, Joanne Hyde and husband Benjamin of North Andover, and Cheryl Caredeo of St. Petersburg, Florida; father in law Salvatore Canto of Salem, NH and mother in law Mary Canto of Methuen, MA; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, brother/sister in laws.
Ronald's family wants to thank all of the wonderful and dedicated doctors and nurses at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham & Women's Hospital for their compassionate care, spiritual guidance and making them feel like they were a part of their family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass that will be held on September 14th at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick's Parish located at 118 South Broadway, Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Ronald's amazing courage and strength through donations made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. I am so very sorry to hear this. Ronnie was just the sweetest guy, kind and patient. I knew him in our much younger days and was always impressed by his gentlemanly nature. My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. Rosemary,

I worked with Ron and coached Little League with him , there is no person I admired and Respected more, he was always giving, honest, hardworking, and Fair! There are many more good and wonderful things to say about Ronny we just don’t have enough space to write it down! His death is quite a shock, one thing is for sure, I will never forget the goodness of Ronny Caredeo!
