Ruby A.'s Story
Ruby A. (Petrow) Murach, 82, died peacefully Saturday, September 9th at Greenbrair in Nashua, N.H. She was the beloved wife of the late Matthew A. Murach, Jr., with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage until his passing in 2007.
Born in Boston on November 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Speight) Petrow. Ruby was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the Cafeteria at Dracut High School for many years.
Above all, family was most important to Ruby. She enjoyed spending her time surrounded by those that she loved, particularly her grandchildren.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Maliea Brunelle of Warren, Vt., John Murach and his wife, Dorothy of Dracut, and Marlene Dow and her husband Timothy of Shirley; and six grandchildren, Meagan, Sara, Aaron, Kristina, Stephen, and Stephanie; as well as her great-grandson, Dylan.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her two brothers, William and David Petrow, and her son-in-law Roger Brunelle.
At Ruby's request, calling hours have been omitted. Her funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 16th at 9 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Dracut. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. Please meet directly at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut.
