METHUEN: Mr. Saadallah Melhem Azzi, 76, of North Andover, passed away peacefully at Lawrence General Hospital on December 26, 2017, just shy of his January 1st birthday. He was surrounded by his loving family at his bedside. Saadallah was born and educated in Jadra, Lebanon, the son of the late Melhem Azzi and his wife, Badia (Azzi) Azzi. Saadallah was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Maronite Church, Lawrence, and retired as a baker for Korbani's Bakery in Methuen. He is remembered as being deeply devoted to his family in Greater Lawrence and in Lebanon.
Saadallah is survived by his wife, Nabiha S. (Azzi) Azzi of North Andover, his daughter, Rita Azzi of Methuen; grandchildren, Sara, TJ and Lea Saab; his sister Wadad and a number of nieces and nephews. Saadallah was predeceased by his siblings, Najib, Adib, Chafica and Mariam all of Lebanon.
Friends may pay respects on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence. A funeral liturgy will be offered, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA 01841 01841. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Saadallah's memory may be made to St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.
