Salem, NH - Sandra J. “Sandi” (Zambino) Demers, age 75, of Salem, N.H., died peacefully Saturday, June 9, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sandi was born in Lawrence, Mass., grew up and was educated in Methuen, Mass. She was a resident of Salem, N.H., for over 40 years.
Sandi retired from the Department of Children & Youth Services for the State of N.H. in Salem. She enjoyed bingo and traveling to Bangor, Maine, for the slots. Most of all Sandi loved being with her family, which was her number one priority.
Sandi was predeceased by her beloved husband retired Salem, N.H. Firefighter Alcide H. Demers.
She is survived by her children, Michele and her husband Michael Olds of Salem, N.H., Michael Demers of Methuen, Mass., and Matthew Demers and his wife Karyn Drago of Methuen, Mass.; brother, Randy and his wife Carol Grava of Washington; sisters: Paula Murdock of Old Town, Maine, and Barbara Martin of Bangor, Maine; grandchildren, Joseph Luscomb, Nicholas Demers, Sarah Collins, Danielle Luscomb, and Michael Olds; great-grandchildren, Ryan Collins and Gianna Luscomb; many special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Private burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, N.H.
