Silvio's Story

Text size

LAWRENCE: Silvio Michael Piemonte, 63, born in Lawrence son of the late Carmela and Peter Piemonte, died Tuesday, December 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell Tech, with a bachelor's degree in economics and was a retired financial advisor and buyer. He enjoyed spending his free time hiking, traveling, tinkering, being the family handyman and mechanic, outdoorsman, jack of all trades, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ann Piemonte; his siblings, Lidia Desrochers, Sam Piemonte, Vincent Piemonte, Josephine Hughes, Connie Ganem; his children, Alyssa Ann and Joseph Michael Arcidiacono, Robert Michael and Ana Cecilia Piemonte, Christi Marie and Jeremy Michael Walsh, Nicholas Albert and Leanne Elizabeth Polidore, and Thomas Edward and Jessica Knight; and his 7 grandchildren, Liam, Lyra, Charlene, Giovanni, Antonio, Adrianna, and Tyler.
Silvio was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son and brother. We were all blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Silvio during our time with him, among them: One man's trash is another man's treasure, a penny saved is a penny earned, always stay true to yourself, if it is broken fix it, the best food is homemade or home grown, there is no place like home, don't underestimate the power of a little elbow grease or hard work, and family is everything. We will miss your eyebrow raises, laughter, sense of humor, beautiful spirt, and larger than life personality.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 9th 2017, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 233 W Gay St, West Chester, PA 19380. Burial to follow at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. Flowers may be sent to St. Agnes Church at 8 a.m. on December 9th.
