Sumner L.'s Story

Sumner L. Fancy, age 86 of Salem, N.H., died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
Sumner was born in Plaistow, N.H. to the late Warren Ebert and Evelyn (Lord). He was a lifelong resident of Salem, NH.
Sumner owned and operated Salem Press Printing in Salem, N.H. He had also worked as a telephone man and cable engineer for Time Warner, and was a master electrician. He was a U.S. Navy Korean war veteran, member and past commander of the Salem VFW Post 8546. He was a 60 member of the Masons in the Spicket Lodge, Salem, N.H. He loved woodworking, cutting glass, and was an all-around handyman. He really enjoyed his winters in Clearwater with his wife and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine M. (Marcus) Fancy of Salem, N.H., sons, Kevin and his wife, Sheila Fancy of Salem, N.H., Brian and his wife, Colleen Fancy of Salem, N.H., and Cathy Dubois of Wintergarden, Fla.; stepchildren, Jane Morse of Cumming, Ga., and Leonard Pevna of California, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be private for the family. There are no calling hours. The Carrier Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 38 Range Rd, Windham, N.H. has been entrusted with Sumner’s arrangements.
