Susan F. Barry (Hill) passed away peacefully surround by friends and family on Saturday, November 11, following a courageous 27-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Sue was born on November 22, 1950, and grew up in Wellesley, Mass. Sue was a graduate of Wellesley High School and the University of New Hampshire. Sue lived for many years in North Andover, Mass., prior to moving to Haverhill, Mass. Susan also spent many summers in Dennis, Mass., on Cape Cod and always felt the Cape was her home. Sue was best known for her playful spirit, her thoughtfulness and her sense of humor. Sue loved gardening and spending time with her dog, Mia. Sue touched many lives with her ability to make friends anywhere and provide a listening ear. Sue will be fondly remembered for all her antics with friends and family, especially the many capers she pulled off with her best friend, Susan VanArsdale.
Sue was predeceased by her parents, Gloria and Henry Hill, and her husband, David Barry. Sue is survived by her children, David Barry and wife, Regina, Robert Barry and wife, Katie, and Erin Copeland and husband, Peter; her three grandchildren, Addison Barry, Connor Barry, and Caraleigh Copeland. Sue is also survived by her siblings, Hank Hill and wife, Janey, Diane Hill and wife, Karen, and David Hill and wife, Glenda; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, MA, followed by a funeral Mass Thursday morning, November 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Parish in North Andover, Mass., and interment in Dennis, Mass., 12 noon on Friday, November 17, 2017.
