New London, NH - Tanya Paul of New London, N.H., passed away surrounded by family on December 23, 2018, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, N.H. after an extended battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on August 26, 1965, to Igor and Natalie Paul, Tanya grew up in Andover, Mass., and spent her summers at Slope 'n Shore in New London. She graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, Wheaton College in Norton, Mass. and Parsons School of Design in Paris, France.
During her early career, Tanya worked in the greater Boston area in event planning and product management for The Children's Miracle Network, The Genesis Fund and The Medicines Company. During the past several years, Tanya enjoyed her work at The Fells Historic Estate and Gardens in Newbury, N.H. as Site/Event Manager, Member Services Assistant and most recently Outreach Director.
Tanya had a love of travel and a big heart for people and animals. She volunteered for several years at the Shiloh Horse Rescue in Nevada and adored her beloved Schnauzer, Cabo. Tanya had a passion for cooking, loved to entertain and always made her guests feel special and welcome. Tanya will be remembered for her honesty, loyalty, creativity, quick wit, thoughtfulness, reliability and good nature. She took care of family as friends and friends as family.
Tanya is survived by her parents, her siblings, Victor Paul and Tahisa Southwell, her nieces and nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins and close friends from Slope 'n Shore.
A celebration of Tanya's life will be held in June 2019 in lieu of visitation or funeral services. The family kindly asks that instead of flowers, donations be made on her behalf to The Fells Historic Estate and Gardens (www.thefells.org, PO Box 276 Newbury, NH 03255, ph: 603-763-4789).
