Wenham, MA Thomas B. Anthony, 63, of Wenham, passed away peacefully on Dec. 5, 2017, of ocular (uveal) melanoma. Tom was the husband of June L. (Mouradjian) Anthony for over 32 years and the proud father of two grown sons, Ryan M. Anthony and Kevin S. Anthony, who were the greatest joys in his life.
Tom was an alumnus of Suffolk University BA, and earned his MBA from New Hampshire College. He worked as the managing partner of Anthony and Dodge P.C. in South Hamilton for over 30 years. During that time, he grew the firm from a handful of employees to its team of more than 20 today. He built strong relationships with clients throughout the North Shore and took pride in helping them achieve their business goals.
Tom shared a mutual love of outdoor activities with his wife and sons, enjoying skiing, golfing, hiking and boating both at home and at the family homes in New Hampshire.
He was a voracious reader who loved completing complicated puzzles, playing cards and enjoying family games such as cribbage and Monopoly. His other passions included yoga, dancing, traveling and spending every Sunday watching the Patriots with his sons.
Tom was a founding member of the Rotary Club of Hamilton-Wenham, serving as its secretary for over 10 years. He enjoyed being sergeant-at-arms, selling Rotary calendars, and ringing the Salvation Army bell during the holidays. He was the president and a member of the Essex County Estate Planning Council, where he advanced public knowledge of the concept of estate and business planning. He also served on the advisory boards for several local banks on the North Shore.
In addition to his wife and sons, Tom is survived by his beloved mother, Lois E. Anthony of Haverhill; brother, Kenneth J. Anthony, and his wife, Irena, of Haverhill; and many beloved nieces and grandnieces and extended family. Tom was predeceased by his beloved father, Richard S. Anthony, and his brother, Donald S. Anthony.
The Anthony family is grateful for the caring attitudes and professional support of Dr. Rizwan Haq and his team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Hugh Taylor and the staff at Family Medicine Associates, nurse Amy and the staff at Care Dimensions and nurse Richard and the staff at Kaplan Family Hospice House, as well as all those who assisted Tom on his difficult journey.
A memorial service will be held at First Church in Wenham, 1 Arbor St., on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
