Thomas P.'s Story
Thomas P. Markievitz, age 64, of Windham, N.H., died unexpectedly on Friday at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, Mass. Tom was born in Everett, Mass. He grew up and was educated in Everett, Mass., and Salem, N.H. He was a resident of Windham for the past 42 years, formerly of Salem. Tom was a service manager for Merrimack Valley Oil Company in North Andover, Mass., where he worked for 47 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem, N.H., for many years. He enjoyed boating, swimming, and the outdoors. Most of all Tom loved being with his family.
He was predeceased by his son, Chad E. Markievitz. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Whiteside) Markievitz of Windham, N.H.; sons, Thomas and his wife, Jodi Markievitz of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jason and his wife, Heather Markievitz of Berlin, N.H., and Roger Markievitz of Windham, N.H.; brother, Stephen Markievitz of Maine; sister, Patricia Wright of Sandown, N.H.; grandchildren, Victoria, Lance, and Zoe; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH. Cremation will follow. Calling hours will be held Friday, Oct. 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH.
