William N. "Billy" Mercier

June 25, 1955 - December 30, 2018

William N. Billy Mercier Haverhill - William N. "Billy" Mercier, 63, a resident of Haverhill for most of his life, died December 30, 2018, at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Norman and Marie (D'Amico) Mercier of Haverhill. He attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill Public Schools, and was a member of the Haverhill High School class of 1974.
Billy was employed for many years at Western Electric Co., AT&T, and Lucent Technologies, and later as a cook at Archie's Place, Ronnie D's and Primo Pasta, and for the past seven years as a customer service representative for Jaffarian Volvo of Haverhill.
A lifelong member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Joseph Parish, he was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post #4 of Haverhill, and the Haverhill Lodge of Elks and a former member of Troop 27 of the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed golfing as a member of the Saint Joseph Golf League, and bowling on leagues at Saint Joseph Bowling Lanes. He was a fan of all Boston sports teams, and was very devoted to his family.
Billy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Norman and Marie (D'Amico) Mercier of Haverhill; a brother and sister-in-law, Stephen A. and Andrea Mercier of Greenville, S.C., two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathryn A. and Steven Mscisz of Topsfield, and Norma J. and Peter Phaneuf of Haverhill; two nephews, Christopher Mscisz and Michael Phaneuf; and three nieces, Jennifer Mscisz, Alexandra Ange and husband Craig O'Brien, and Danielle and husband Jack Schultz; and his aunt, Constance "Connie" Mercier of Methuen.

Relatives and friends are invited to Billy's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral will be held on Friday from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial in All Saints Church, at a time to be announced. Sorry I just found out that Billy passed. Billy and I attended high school together and we shared the same birthday - June 25. He was a great guy. Condolences to his family. He will be missed. Rich

I am so sorry for the Mercier family's loss Billy Merce will be missed by many , me as well Merce was like my my big brother, always watching out for me when i was younger, older we stayed in touch. my heart is heavy , but i alway's will have the memory's Rest in piece god speed Billy .
My children knew him as Uncle Billy we had some great times You will be missed
