LONDONDERRY, NH - William Joseph Poirier, 63, of Londonderry, N.H., passed away at his residence, December 14, 2017, after a period of declining health. William was born July 21, 1954, in Lawrence, Mass., and was a son of the late Lionel and Dorothy (Hay) Poirier. He was raised and educated in Haverhill, Mass., and was a graduate of the former Haverhill Trade School.
William had been a maintenance worker with R&W Cleaners and had previously been employed at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved spending time with his niece and great-nieces.
Members of the family include his brother, Alan D. Poirier of Cornish, Maine; his sister and her husband, Kathleen and James Grant, III of Londonderry; a niece and her husband, Tiffany and Zubair Ahad of Derry; two great-nieces and the extended Grant family.
After cremation, a memorial visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH.
