Alice M.'s Story

Alice M. (White) McNeil, 86, of Haverhill, passed away Saturday evening, June 17, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Haverhill on August 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Gaquin) White.
Alice worked for many years at Malden Mills until her retirement.
Mrs. McNeil was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard, who passed away in 1991.
Alice is survived by her 11 loving children, Frank McNeil of Danville, N.H., Bob McNeil and his wife, Marie of Methuen, Michael McNeil and his wife, Lori of Haverhill, Joyce McNeil Heisler of Groveland, Eddie McNeil of Haverhill, Thomas McNeil of Haverhill, Dennis McNeil and his wife, Claire of Ohio, Denise Zielinski and her husband, Andrew of Haverhill, Billy McNeil of Maine, Brian McNeil of Haverhill, and James McNeil and his fiancée, Rebecca Gaston of Haverhill; four step-children, Richard McNeil and his wife, Erica of Groveland, Karen Dichard and her husband, David of Concord, N.H., Scott McNeil and his wife, Sherry of Friendship, N.Y., Rebecca Mitchell and her husband, James of Haverhill; a brother, John White and his wife, Emiline of Florida; a sister, Florence Crowe and her husband, David of New Hampshire; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren and five generations, five times; a longtime companion, Ram Ramsamuj; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Sunday, June 25, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral will be Monday beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Saints James Church, Haverhill.
