Barbara A. (Raymond)'s Story
Barbara A. (Raymond) Wilbur, 86, wife of the late Robert Wilbur, passed away August 22, 2017, at the Baker Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Merrimac, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Edna (Davis) Raymond. Raised and educated in Merrimac, she was the youngest of 14 children. Barbara was employed for over 25 years at the Baker Katz Nursing home as a certified nursing assistant. She also worked in the shoe industry and was a crossing guard on South Main Street at the Hunkins School in Haverhill. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Robin A. Wilbur of Haverhill; five grandchildren, Josh Sykes, Corey Lemieux, Nichole Lemieux, Tyler Lemieux, Jonese Lemieux; eight great-grandchildren, Connor Lemieux, Gavin Lemieux, Tristan Lemieux, Ryan Hall, Zaleina Lemieux, Kairi Lemieux, Aurora Lemieux and Logan Smith; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Robert Wilbur, she was predeceased by her son, Lynn R. Sykes, and 13 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 24, from 4 until 6:30 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
