Blanche A. (Znamierowski) Davidowicz, 84, of Ward Hill, passed away peacefully at Lawrence General Hospital on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Blanche was born in Somerville on June 13, 1932, daughter of the late Lucyen and Sophie (Bolezja) Znamierowski of Poland. Raised in Ballardvale section of Andover. She was a graduate of Punchard High School, Andover. Blanche was employed for several years with the Doherty Real Estate and Insurance Company in Andover, as well as Baybank.
Wife of the late Walter E. Davidowicz, who passed in 1995, They shared 35 years of loving marriage. They began to raise their family in the Ward Hill section of Haverhill after purchasing Crescent Farms in 1964. She worked alongside her husband at their farm that is still operating today. Blanche was a devout Catholic and longtime volunteer and parishioner of Sacred Hearts Church. She was active for many years with the Topsfield Fair 4-H. She was very proud of her Polish heritage, often cooking the way she was taught by her mother. Blanche’s real joy in her life was her family. She often remarked that her initials may be “B.A.D.” but she certainly was not.
The Davidowicz family would like to send thanks to the loving staff at Haverhill Crossing where Blanche resided the past year. They truly cared for her and became part of her extended family. Blanche was also like a second mom to many people of all ages and will be greatly missed by many.
Her surviving family members include her cherished children, Frances L. Eason and husband, Jeffrey of E. Boston, Jay Davidowicz and wife, Jamie of Haverhill, C. Michael Davidowicz and wife, Debbie of Haverhill and Ann M.
