Claire M. (Kelleher) Mehlhorn, 86, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2017. She was the widow of David A. Mehlhorn.
Claire was born in Lawrence and educated in North Andover schools. She was the daughter of Edward F. and Edna (Laverty) Kelleher of Methuen. Claire was retired from AT&T and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Claire enjoyed camping, reading, knitting, crochet, quilting, needlepoint, cards, bowling, and going out to lunch.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Gleason of Andover; daughter-in-law, Beverly Mehlhorn of Methuen; nine grandchildren, Jeananne, Denise, Donna, Laurie, Christina, Kelly, Melissa, Michael, and Chantal; 17 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Claire was also predeceased by her two sons, David and Daniel Mehlhorn; her daughter, Patricia Michaud; three granddaughters, Lisa and Stephanie Mehlhorn and Nicole Michaud; and one sister, Edna Garside.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem, NH 03079. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow services at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, Mass.
