Dolores A. Triquet, 92, formerly of Cedar Grove, N.J., daughter of the late Joseph Haas and Elizabeth (Ryan) Haas of Newark, N.J., passed away peacefully at Haverhill Crossing on May 24, 2017. Born March 13, 1925, Dolores graduated Central High School in Newark, N.J., Class of 1941.
She volunteered for 30 years at Mountainside Hospital in Montclaire, N.J., was a Cub Scout den mother, and was very active in services organizations in her church and community.
Predeceased by her loving husband, John J. Triquet of 63 years, Dolores will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Jim Triquet and his wife, Dee of Newton, N.H. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dolores (Triquet) Wliverding, but survived by her husband, George Wilverding of Leesburg, Va. She is also survived by brothers, Bill Haas and his wife, Pauline of Newport, R.I., Paul Haas and his wife, Peg of Narragansett, R.I.; her sister, Peg Rozewski and her husband, Ed of Toms River, N.J., and predeceased by her brother, Joseph Haas and his wife, Ruth of Willingboro, N.J. Dolores leaves four grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Remembered by her son, Jim, and daughter in-law, Dee, Dolores epitomized love, commitment, and service in her daily life. She looked for the joy of life, and shared it with everyone she met.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Life Celebration for Dolores on June 1, 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, N.H. with a funeral service at 5:15 p.m. in the funeral home. A private family burial for Dolores in New Jersey is planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
