Franklin J. Coyle, 75, of Contoocook, N.H., passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Concord Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was born in Methuen on January 24, 1942 to the late Thomas and Gertrude (Jackson) Coyle.
Franklin was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
Before retiring, he was employed by Sanders Assoc. as a security guard for many years.
Surviving members of his family include a son, Sean Coyle and his wife, Brenda of Salem, N.H.; five daughters, Colleen Rodi of Bedford, N.H., Erin and her husband, Scott Moyers of Huntsville, Ala., Shannon Coyle of Merrimack, N.H., Kathleen Thistle and her husband, John of Merrimack, N.H., and Meghan and her husband, Michael Bourn of Nashua, N.H.; 10 grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Regan, Elizabeth, Brendan, Ryan, Matthew, Kyle, Kaylee, and Eleanor; and his longtime companion, Prudence Bennett of Contoocook, N.H.
Memorial calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, N.H. on Wednesday June 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 12 p.m. Burial of his urn will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
