George's Story

George W. Breslin, Jr., 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Country Center for Health and Rehab. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Underwood) Breslin. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2017.
Born in Beverly to the late Mary (MacDonald) and George W. Breslin, Sr.
He attended the Beverly schools and graduated BHS in 1955. He attended Northeastern University for a short while then went to work at USM Corp in Beverly. He enlisted in the Army for three years then returning to USM Corp. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He loved to bowl with his best friends on the USM Corp league at the Bowl-O-Mat in Beverly. He fished at Moosehead Lake every year and also hunted in Maine every November up until he had his stroke in 1996.
In addition to his wife, Sandy, he is survived by his daughters, Patricia Breslin of Biddeford, Maine, Catherine Breslin of Salisbury, Christine Pouliot and fiancé, Mike Lowe of Hudson, N.H.; son, Scott Breslin and fiancée, Cynthia Gallongia of Salisbury; and mother-in-law, Miriam Underwood of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Heather, Melinda, Cory, Jeremy, Tyler, and Kaitlyn; four great-grandchildren, Topanga, Paisley, Dixon, and Mason. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sheryl Breslin; brother, Thomas Breslin; and granddaughter, Jessie Forrest.
The family would like to thank everyone at Country Center for his wonderful care over the last 11 years. He truly loved you all.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Friday in the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly from 5 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
