Helen Catherine Bailey, of Bradford, Mass., born in Kingston, N.H., to George and Ellen (McNeive) Leate, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Academy Manor in Andover, Mass.
Helen was employed by the Emerson Box Company for more than 20 years.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Leate and George Leate; and her sister, Rita (Leate) Torrico. Helen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Howard Bailey. She is survived by two sons, Howard Bailey of Kingston, N.H., and Joseph Bailey and his wife, Carla, also of Kingston; as well as two daughters, Patricia (Bailey) Connors of West Springfield, Mass., and Deborah (Bailey) Forte and her husband, Daniel of Haverhill, Mass. Helen leaves a long-lasting, legacy of 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Her presence, and loving ways, will be missed forever.
Helen loved to play bingo, cards, and board games, with her family and friends, as well as "flea-marketing" with her good friend, Mim Clisbee. Her grandchildren; Sunday drives with the family; the horse racing hobby that she and Howard enjoyed together; and their horse, "Bill" Bailey, were just a few of the things that brought her much joy.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH with a funeral service following at 12:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
