Hum Minh's Story
Hum Pham, resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital on Saturday, May 6, 2017. He was born in Long An, Viet Nam. He served as a Captain under Viet Nam Republic Military until 1975 before coming to the U.S.A. in 1995.
Hum enjoyed electronics in all forms. He loved fixing things and being creative.
Hum came to the U.S. in 1995, making a living for his family working at Cambridge Tools in Billerica before retiring in 2010. Hum loved being around family and friends, playing cards, and having laughs. He also loved spending time with his five grandchildren.
He survived by his wife of 49 years, Thu Nguyen; beloved sons, Thuy (Khuong) and wife, Anh-Thi of Haverhill, Mass., Thu and wife, Tran of Haverhill, Mass.; and devoted daughter, Giao and husband, Hoang Bui of Riverside, Calif.; beloved brothers, Quoc and wife, Duong of Santa Ana, Calif., Cuu and wife, Chau Nguyen of Haverhill, Mass., Tuyet and husband, Dong Vu of Methuen; and youngest sister, Anh Pham of Methuen, Mass.; his loving grandchildren, Edward Bui, Khang, Trinh, My An and Truc; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Holy Family Hospital, especially CCU staffs for their loving and professional care.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the calling hours on Friday, May 12 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Route 125), Bradford. Services will continue on Saturday, May 13 beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a procession to his home then Linwood Crematory, Haverhill. The family would prefer not to have flowers or gifts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution under his name may be made to Holy Family Hospital, 70 East St., Methuen MA 01844 and Lam Ty Ni Temple, 79 Margin St., Lawrence, MA 01841.
