John J.'s Story
John Lisien, age 57, of Hampstead, N.H., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
John is survived by his wife, Jean Bortz Lisien and his son, Zachary Leonard Lisien of Hampstead, N.H.; his two sisters, Dr. Ann-Marie Houghton and her husband, George of Salisbury, Mass., Ruth Buckley and her husband, Gary of Lowell, Mass.; his brother, Henry Lisien and his wife, Cheri of Lowell; his sister-in-law, Barbara Lisien-Juliano and her husband, Jim of Niantic, Conn., 10 nieces and nephews, and 11 grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Dr. Ann and Henry Lisien of Lowell, and his eldest brother, Dr. Leonard Lisien of Portland, Conn.
John was an active Hampstead town volunteer, he served as a Selectman and most recently served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for 10 years. John earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management and received an MBA from Lowell University. He earned several professional certifications and was a night school instructor at Merrimack College. John loved his work at technology firms including Modicon, PictureTel and lastly at Polycom as Senior Director of Operations.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 10th, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Route 111, Windham, N.H.
A funeral Mass will be held Monday, Sept. 11th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Parish, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, N.H. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 89 Kent Farm Road, Hampstead, N.H.
The family will be sitting Shiva on Tuesday, Sept. 12th from 12 to 2 and 5 to 7 p.m. at 19 Duston Ridge Road, Hampstead, N.H.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana-Farber Center Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA, 02445. Please ID on check for “Esophageal Cancer Awareness”, in memory of John Lisien and name Jean Lisien, Hampstead, N.H., as next of kin.
