Joseph C.'s Story
Joseph C. Zaryski, 72, of Boxford, Mass., passed away April 18, 2017, at Beverly Hospital in Beverly, Mass., after a brief illness.
Born in Oswego, N.Y., he was the son of the late Bronislaw Joseph and Mary Alice (McCarey) Zaryski.
Throughout Joe's life journey, he crossed many people's paths and had many great friends and neighbors, especially the Devlin family of Boxford, Mass.
He attended local schools, including St. Paul's Academy, Oswego Catholic High School and the State University of New York at Oswego. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Joe wore many hats in his working career to include working for several banks, also as a private investigator and a store owner in the New England area. After his retirement, he worked counseling homeless people in his area.
He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots.
Surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis and Kathleen Zaryski, Paul and Sherry Zaryski, and David and Ann Marie Zaryski; twin sisters and brothers-in-law, Sally and Richard Cafalone and Susanne Chamberlain and Michael Canavan; and a sister, Diane Monet; along with many nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his twin sister, Joanne Amedio, and brothers-in-law, Philip Amedio, Richard Chamberlain and John Monet.
