Lillian M.'s Story
Lillian M (Ardizzone) Mariano, 96, formerly of Methuen, passed away on June 1, 2017, at the Trinity Medical Center, Trinity, Fla. surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Lucia (Traina) Ardizzone. Lillian was the widow of Mario J. Mariano. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Frances Vetrone and Jennie Milone and her granddaughter, Carolyn R. Mariano.
Lillian was a lifelong resident of Methuen until her move to Florida with her daughter and son in 2001. She retired from General Tire Bolta Division.
Her passions in life were cooking, especially her homemade raviolis, playing cards, crocheting and knitting, bingo and crossword puzzles, and devoting her time to her family.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte Mariano and her husband, Robert T. Zangri of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and her sons, Vincent J. Mariano and Ronald Mariano and his wife, Judy of Spring Hill, Fla. She was the cherished grandmother of Ronald Mariano, Brian Mariano, Kristen Coulouras, Kimberly Galloway and her husband, Johnathan Brett Galloway, and several great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral services will commence at the conclusion of visiting hours at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
