Margaret (Quigley)'s Story
Margaret (Quigley) McCann, age 94, of North Andover and formerly of Methuen, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 17, 2017, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House. Margaret was born in Methuen on August 25, 1922, to the late William and Margaret (Carney) Quigley). She was a member of Cadet Corps., and a former communicant of St. Michael’s Parish of North Andover. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an RN at the Clover Hill Hospital formerly of Methuen.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late William McCann. She was the devoted mother of William McCann and his wife, Regina, Michael McCann and his wife, Donna, Linda D’Angelo and her husband, Gus, and Tracy Nelson and her husband, Jay. She was the dear sister of the late Bernard Quigley, the late Donald Quigley, the late Paul Quigley, the late William Quigley and the late Raymond Quigley, the late Gloria Atkins, the late Carol Getchell, and Delores Connor, wife of the late Dr. James Connor. Margaret was the loving grandmother of five and the cherished great-grandmother of eight. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family has asked that in appreciate for the wonderful care shown to Margaret, in lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
