Marilyn Lorraine's Story
Marilyn Lorraine Tiney Wolf, 87, passed away in Napa, Calif., on May 9, 2017, after a long illness. She is survived by her three children and two step-children, Barbara Tiney of Napa, Calif., Donald Tiney of Haverhill, Mass., Richard Tiney of Freedom, N.H., Brian Wolf of Mount Holly, N.J., and Lisa Borisoff of Fort Washington, Pa. She was predeceased by her son, Larry Tiney. She was especially proud of her nine grandchildren, Jessica Penman, David, Sean, Nicole, and Kathleen Tiney, Paul Lally and Jennifer Lally; and also her 10 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was born March 26, 1930, in Milo, Maine, to Gladys and Frank Smith. She moved to Massachusetts where she married her first husband, Donald Tiney, and raised their four children. Marilyn later married Murry Wolf, and the two enjoyed 39 happy years before his passing. Together, they managed the delightful and well known restaurant, the Sea Wolf, in Methuen, Mass., for 15 years.
Marilyn enjoyed knitting and crocheting lovely clothing for her family and friends, and took particular pleasure dining out. She was a strong, resilient, generous woman with an incredible laugh and a deep love for family. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Joseph's Trattoria in Haverhill, Mass., on June 18 from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Kidney Foundation.
