Rachel F.'s Story
Rachel F. Hassett, 41, passed away September 18, 2017 at Steward Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of Robert A. and Linda P. (Brunelle) Hassett. Raised and educated in Lowell, she attended Lowell High School, Class of 1993. She then attended the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in English. Rachel was employed as a Court Officer in the Haverhill and Lawrence District Courts where she had many friends and was well liked. A lover of animals, she volunteered at the Sweet Paws Animal Rescue in Essex. Rachel enjoyed traveling, especially Disney World, the Caribbean on cruises and Cape Cod. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a kind and loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Rachel is survived by her parents, Robert A. and Linda P. (Brunelle) Hassett of Truro; her brother, Matthew Hassett and his wife Dawn of Leland, N.C.; her grandmother, Joan Brunelle of St. Augustine, Fla.; her niece, Harper Hassett; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
