Rick W. Langtry, 58, passed on after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, June 11, 2017, surrounded by family. Born on March 24, 1959 in Salem, N.H. son to John Langtry and Doris (Mary) Langtry.
Rick leaves behind his soulmate, Charlene Langtry after 33 years of love and friendship.
Graduate of Franklin Pierce College, and recently retired from his career as IT Director and Consultant.
Rick believed life was an adventure and lived it to the fullest. He relished traveling with friends and family, was a master at spinning tales, and had passion for the outdoors and music, but he treasured his children most of all. They knew him not only as a father, but as a friend, mentor, and fellow adventurer. Each had their own special relationship with him. He was a devoted Papi to his grandsons and loved playing games and taking them boating and hiking. Rick was a man of true integrity who led by example. Those who knew him best will forever cherish the stories he left behind.
He is survived by his wife Charlene Langtry of Washington, NH; sons Scott Langtry and spouse Callie Langtry of Kewaskum, WI, Christopher Langtry and spouse Kristie Langtry of Fitchburg, Stephen Langtry of Merrimack, NH; daughter Shannon St. Pierre and spouse, Jordan St. Pierre of Wilton, N.H.; father, John Langtry and spouse, Kathy Langtry of Seabrook, N.H.; mother, Doris (Mary) Langtry of Salem, N.H.; brother, Mark Langtry, spouse, Cathy Langtry and their daughter, Sara Langtry of Salem, N.H.; grandsons, Zachary and Alexander Langtry of Fitchburg; Godchild, Shana Forand of Wilton, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.
Rick was a passionate participant in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and has walked since 2010. His wish was that in lieu of flowers donations be made to his team, “Got Hope” at main.acsevents.org/goto/RickLangtry or checks can be made out to the American Cancer Society and mailed to 2 Commerce Dr, Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110 “Attention Nashua Relay for Life In Memory of Rick Langtry."
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, N.H., Monday, June 19, 2017, between 4 to 6 p.m. followed immediately by a Memorial Service at 6 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend.
