Robert M.'s Story

Robert M. Quigley, 89, passed away June 9, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Moore) Quigley.
Raised and educated in Everett, he attended Everett High School. Robert served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.
He was an auto body technician at Auto City in East Boston for many years. Robert was a man of many talents. He enjoyed scuba diving, photography, developing his own photos, gardening, and cooking. What gave him the most joy in his life was spending time with family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be missed for his enduring love of his family, for life and his positive spirit.
Robert is survived by his children, Joanne P. Gilbert and her husband, Louie of Woburn, Bethanne Almachar of Hudson, N.H., Robert M. Quigley, Jr. and his wife, Beth of Newton, N.H., Darrin J. Quigley and his wife, Ellen of Simi Valley, Calif., Jason J. Quigley and his wife, Michelle of Simi Valley, Calif.; his grandchildren, Melissa Pomfred and her husband, James Monahan, Robert P. Quigley and Jeanna, Meagan E. Almachar, Shawn B. Almachar and Emily, Emily C. Almachar, Heather P. Quigley, Tyler J. Almachar, Alexis M. Quigley, Nate Quigley, Jack Quigley, and Normand Larocque; two great-grandchildren, Celia Monahan and Henry Almachar; his soulmate of over 30 years, Julie Carlotti of Everett; his former wives, Joan C. (Mason) Quigley of Holliston and Doreen J. (Saulnier) Quigley of Hudson, N.H.; and his beloved dog, Otto. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Quigley, Jr.
