Robert W.'s Story
Robert W. Hassam Sr., 62, of Londonderry, N.H., died Monday at his home, after a short battle with liver cancer.
Bob was born in Boston, grew up and was educated in North Andover, Mass. He was a resident of Londonderry for the past three years, formerly of Derry, N.H. and Lawrence, Mass.
Bob worked for Shaw’s Warehouse in Methuen, Mass., for many years and was a member of the local UFW. He loved watching sports and was an avid New England sports fan. Most of all, Bob loved being with his family.
He was the son of the late Charlotte M. (Flanders) Hassam.
He is survived by his wife, Linda A. (Fraize) Hassam of Londonderry, N.H.; son, Robert W. Hassam Jr. of Lawrence; daughters, Melissa A. Hassam of Dracut, Mass., and Tarsha L. Hassam and Garth Haley of Lawrence, Mass; granddaughter, Victoria L. Castro of Dracut, Mass.; brothers, John S. “Jack” and his wife, Judy Hassam of Haverhill, Steven A. Hassam of Lawrence, and James W. Hassam of North Andover; sister, Charlotte A. Hassam of Derry, N.H.; mother-in-law, Louise E. Remillard of Lawrence; several nieces, nephews, and many more relatives, and all his friends at Shaw’s Warehouse.
Funeral services will be private for the family. There are no calling hours. Cremation will take place at Arborside Crematory, Windham, N.H. The family has asked that you give a hug to someone you love.
