Seth A.'s Story
Seth A. Dallaire, 28, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at home on August 25, 2017. He lived the last eight-and-a-half years with cancer, but it did not define him, nor deny him living his life to the fullest.
Seth was born on September 13, 1988, in Morrisville, Vt. He was the son of Lance and Gretchen (Swan) Dallaire of Haverhill.
He graduated from Pentucket Regional High School with the class of 2007; he furthered his education at Northern Essex Community College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine, Farmington in 2013.
Seth created and maintained the website, Crowdsurf Central, a website dedicated to connecting New England’s punk rock and pop-punk music scene. The website will continue and will be run by good friends.
He loved playing sports and attending sporting events as well as attending concerts and interviewing bands for articles for Crowdsurf Central. He dearly loved his family, friends, and the music scene.
Seth was predeceased by his maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; his uncle, Kurt Swan; and several cancer victim friends he made while at Boston’s Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic.
He is survived by his loving parents, Lance and Gretchen; a brother, Joshua and his partner, Joe Arcisz; an aunt and godmother, Kirsten Swan; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Seth’s family thanks the medical staff at Boston Children’s Hospital, The Jimmy Fund Clinic, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Hospice and his many friends who called, visited, sent cards, connected with him via social media, and texted with him through his brave fight against cancer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, August 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Route 125), Bradford. His funeral service will be on Friday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Bradford funeral home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Due to severe allergies, in lieu of flowers, Seth’s family requests that donations be made in his memory and honor to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168. To share a memory or for more information, please visit www.farmerfuneralhomes.com.
