Sharon's Story

Sharon Cronk, 59, of Methuen, Mass., daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Dodge) Cronk of Haverhill, Mass., passed away at Holy Family Hospital due to complications with Multiple Sclerosis on April 16, 2017. Born July 22, 1957, Sharon attended Sanborn Regional High School and graduated Class of 1975. She attended Northern Essex and earned her associates degree, then Southern New Hampshire University for a Bachelors of Science, before earning her Master's in Accounting and Finance at Bentley University. Sharon was employed by Charles River Labs in Wilmington, Mass., where she diligently worked for 25 years, until her MS would allow her to work no longer.
Sharon will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her wife and longtime best friend, Bonnie Fisher of Methuen, Mass., their daughter, Alexa Lopez, and grandson, Zander Lopez of Methuen; foster children, Justin, Meziah, and Michael; brother, William Cronk, Jr. of Danville, N.H.; brother, Leon Cronk of Tennessee; sister, Sandra (Cronk) Howatt and her husband, Peter of The Woodlands, Texas; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A gifted songwriter and guitarist, Sharon played for audiences at Sawyers Banquet Facility and The Pondview restaurant. An active woman, Sharon enjoyed hiking, cross country skiing, swimming, and running, most recently competing in the Tufts 10K. A giving and compassionate soul, Sharon was confided in by many, including people she had just met, always lending her time and a heartfelt ear to those in need.
