Steven D.'s Story
Steven D. Tierney, 65, of Methuen and formerly of North Andover, passed away peacefully on July, 12, 2017 surrounded by family.
Born in Framingham on July 4, 1952, he was raised and educated in Everett, before eventually settling in North Andover where he resided for over 20 years.
Steve honorably served in the Air Force from 1971 to 1975 and upon leaving the service worked for the United States Postal Service for 39 years.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Gail (Cooke); his five sons, Christopher (Major, USMC) and his wife Laurie, Shaun and his girlfriend Emily, Corey (Sergeant First Class, USA) and his wife, Krystina, Brett and his fiancee, Lauren, and Conor and his wife Michelle, his three grandchildren, Kyleigh, Aiden, and Savanna, and his brothers, David and Glenn Tierney.
He was a shining example of a husband and father. A man dedicated to raising his sons to be men of character. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten by his loving wife, proud sons, and close family members.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 16th from 2 to 5 p.m. at Conte Funeral Home, 17 3rd St., North Andover. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Monday, July 17th at 10 a.m., followed by a Burial with Military Honors at Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
