Thomas F. "Mike"'s Story
Thomas F. “Mike” McCoy, Jr., age 75, a well-known resident of Pelham, N.H., died in Nashua on May 30, 2017. He was the loving husband of 55 years to Jeannette P. (Lafortune) McCoy.
Born in Lowell, on February 1, 1942, he was a son of the late Thomas F. and Marion E. (Muldoon) McCoy, Sr.
Mike was a graduate of Lowell Trade School, Class of 1960 and was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick’s Church.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Lowell General Hospital and the former Tewksbury Wood Products.
Mike enjoyed camping, square dancing, sitting on the porch watching the birds and spending time with his friends, especially Bob, Fran, Ernie, Nancy, John, Jan and Linda.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife Jeannette are a son and daughter in law, Dr. Brian T. and Monique A. McCoy of Dudley, MA; two grandsons, Andrew and Benjamin who were the joy of his life; Mike was also the beloved father of the late Lisa McCoy.
His survivors also include, three brothers and two sisters in law, Charles E. and Shelagh McCoy of Pelham, Donald R. McCoy of Hudson, N.H. and Timothy P. and Mary Lou McCoy of Buford, Ga.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patricia M. McCoy of Lowell, Mary R. and Ronald Bator of N. Chelmsford and Ruth and Paul Fauvel of Dracut; a sister in law, Mrs. Gabrielle Lausier of Tyngsborough; also several supportive and kind nieces and nephews who he loved deeply.
He was also the brother-in-law of the late Elaine McCoy and Raymond Lausier.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the Pelham EMT’s, Fire and Police and friends Phyllis Dexter and Rosemary Dole for all the support and care they provided to Mike during his illness.
Relatives and friends may call at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough this evening, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Friday morning with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 12 Main St., Pelham. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery, Pelham.
