William J.'s Story
William J. Golan, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on September 24, 2017. He was born in Lawrence to the late William S. Golan and Catherine ( Flynn-Golan) Purcell.

Previously, he was a self-employed floor installer for 28 years. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post 122, Methuen, Mass., and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. His greatest enjoyment was the time spent with his children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother, Michael.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Merrimack Valley Hospice and the Dana Farber Cancer Community. Donations in Bill's name can be made to either.
