Haverhill - Alan R. Williams, 73, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 at Cedar View Rehab & Health Center in Methuen. He was the husband of Linda (Mercier) Williams, to whom he was married for twenty-six years.
Born in Lynn, MA on September 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Leslie and Helen (Baker) Williams.
Following his graduation from Saugus High School, Class of 1970, Alan began a distinguished career as an inspector at General Electric where he worked many years before retiring in 2013? He was a member of the Andover Sportsmen Club. Music was a lifelong passion. Whether listening to his favorite songs or playing his guitar, he found comfort and expression in the rhythm and melody and shared his passion serving as DJ at weddings and various parties. Alan also had a deep love of cars and racing, especially the thrill of taking his 1974 Chevy Nova to the New England Speedway.
Besides his wife of twenty-six years, Alan is survived by his extended family, Bethanie DellaCroce and husband Brian of Sanford, ME, Michael Williams of Revere, Michael Brown and wife Rebecca of Methuen, Lisa Russo of Salem, NH; eleven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Alan was the brother of the late Elaine Manzi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at 10:00a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Chapel of Linwood Cemetery, 41 John Ward Ave. in Haverhill.
